As a national premier service provider, Wienhoff Drug Testing offers drug testing panels ranging from the three most commonly abused drugs to panels that include all testable drugs of abuse.

Our partnership drug testing laboratories are the industry’s best, each certified or accredited by our industry’s most prestigious regulatory bodies.

Alternate Specimen Types for Non-Regulated Testing

photo-drug-testing01Though urine testing remains the industry standard for drug testing because of its accuracy, reliability, ease of collection, and relatively low cost, other options are available at Wienhoff Drug Testing.

Hair Testing:  Though significantly more expensive than urine testing, hair testing allows one to test for drug use over a much longer period of time. As a general rule, for each inch and a half of hair, one can test use during the last seven through ninety days. We recommend an additional urine test to cover the seven days immediately before the test.

Instant/Rapid Urine Testing:  Most of our testing panels are available with instant screening results. However, in many states, the law requires that all inconclusive/non-negative employment drug tests must be confirmed at a laboratory before an employer can use the results to make employment decisions.

Nail Testing:  Highly stable, simple to collect, and easy to ship and store, fingernails provide a test sample that is at the cutting edge of drug and alcohol testing. Fingernails are made up of keratin, the same material that hair is made of. As the nail grows, substances can pass from the blood vessels below the nail into the keratin fibers where they become trapped. Fingernails are four times thicker than the typical strand of hair and often capture more of a substance than hair can. Biomarkers become locked in keratin fibers along the entire length of the nail, and can be detected up to 3-6 months after drug or alcohol abuse.

Oral Fluid (Saliva):   Wienhoff Drug Testing primarily endorses the use of urine for drug testing. However, in certain circumstances, oral fluid testing may be acceptable. For more information, please call 1-800-376-5693.

Current Trends In Drug And Alcohol Testing

Currently, over 55% of companies in America test at least for pre-employment and reasonable suspicion (Why drug test?). More and more companies are signing on, realizing that testing saves them money and helps maintain a safer workplace. Random testing is also trending as more and more companies realize that a healthy workforce is a “clean” workforce.

Adulteration/Substitutions

Desperate employees often go to great lengths to subvert a drug test, including purchasing synthetic urine products. Our specimen collectors, some of the best in the nation, are extensively trained to recognize synthetic urine. Also, our labs are capable of testing specimens to determine if they are legitimate or synthetic. If an employee uses a synthetic at Wienhoff Drug Testing, they will be caught. Though companies who produce these products say they guarantee a negative test result, in our system, these products are guaranteed to fail.

Trending Drugs

Currently, synthetic marijuana (Spice / K2) and synthetic amphetamines (Bath Salts) are trending dramatically, and we offer testing for all related compounds. Wienhoff Drug Testing makes it a mission to stay abreast of current drug trends and offer testing as soon as it becomes available. Prescription drugs such as hydrocodone, oxycodone, and methadone remain a vital part of Wienhoff Drug Testing’s service offering. Wienhoff Drug Testing’s official recommendation to all employers is to test for all synthetic and semi-synthetic opiates as part of their opiates testing panel. We charge no extra fee for synthetic opiate testing.
